Most airlines are pretty flexible when it comes to pet travel, and Breeze Airways isn’t an exception in this regard. They do allow pets on board, dogs and cats, only, though, and have certain restrictions and regulations regarding the same. Does Breeze Airways Allow Pets On Their Flights?

Breeze Airways allows small domestic dogs and cats and there is a charge for the same for each way of the journey. However, Breeze doesn’t allow fish, birds, alongside other small animals on their flights. When traveling with pets ensure that you book early as slots are limited, it is a first come first serve basis. Breeze allows no more than five pets on a single flight. Also, the pets should be a minimum of eight weeks of age. 

In fact, even if guests have bought extra seats they are entitled to a soft-sided carrier with one pet inside. Travellers with pets cannot check online, they must do ait at the ticket counter at the airport. The maximum permissible weight for pets shouldn’t be greater than 25 lbs, which also includes the carrier. During check-in the pet carrier with the pet within has to be placed on the scale. 

How to Book Pets On A Breeze Airways Flight?

You will have to login and go to the My Trips section. Go to your reservation and click on More Options. Then click Add which you will find next to Extras. Now, add the pet, and select the traveller’s name. Click the Travel with your pets option, and then mention how many pets you will be traveling with. Also, select your pet’s travel companion, click on continue and then checkout. 

If you have a roundtrip reservation and wish to add your pet to it, then you are required to contact Breeze Airways’ Guest Empowerment team. They will help you to add your pet to your return flight. In case any pet charges have been removed, they’ll be added as flight credits to Breezy Rewards. 

NOTE: Those travelling in the Breeze Ascent class are requested to book tickets in the standard or extra legroom sections. The reason is Breeze Ascent seats lack space under seats to fit in the pet carrier. 

What is the Carrier Requirement When Travelling With Your Pets On A Breeze Airways Flight?

Breeze Airways has certain requirements for the carrier in which your pets should come in. Here is what you need to know:

• The carrier has to be soft-sided, which will be checked as a personal item. You must even ensure that the carrier is leakproof as well as well-ventilated. You must purchase it on your own as Breeze doesn’t take the initiative of selling or supplying pet carriers. 
• The length of the carrier has to be smaller than 17 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 13 inches high. 
• Some carriers have to be placed to their side to fit below the seats. 
• During travel ensure that your pet is completely enclosed inside the carrier. 
• The carrier should have sufficient space so that your pet may lie down, turn around or lie down comfortably. 
• An extra seat can be purchased for your pet. Yet, it still has to remain fitted below the seat to the front of your additional seat which has been purchased. 
• Occupying seats or eating off the tray table isn’t permissible for any pet. As mentioned, pets should remain within their carriers throughout the flight.

When travelling with pets on a Breeze Airways flight, here are some things to make note of:to ensure a comfortable and hassle free travel: 

• You can carry food along for your pet if the need arises. When carrying wet food, ensure to follow TSA’s 3-1-1 rule for liquid. When carrying pet food, additional baggage fees may apply. 

• If you are travelling with pets you cannot occupy the exit row and bulkhead seats. 

• For security purposes it is important to keep your pets inside the carrier throughout the journey – while waiting at the boarding area, while getting on and off the plane, and when in the aircraft. 

• Pets displaying disruptive behavior during travel may not be allowed to board the flight. These include excessive noise like barking or whining, aggressive behavior such as lunging, biting, or growling, defecating or urinating in areas that are prohibited, or any other behavior which appears undesirable to any Breeze team member. 

• As per DOT’s policies with effect from the 11th of January 2021 emotional support animals can only qualify as service animals if they meet the requirements of the same. Else, they’ll be regarded as service pets. Service dogs in training must travel as pets. 
• Pets should go in the cabin as they aren’t permitted in the checked baggage. 
• Though vaccination details of your pets may not be needed, yet, it is recommended to carry the papers, for safety purposes.
